Coach Sandra George started wrestling in High School her freshman year with the Varsity Boys team in Michigan winning 91 Varsity matches, and 10 more at the unsanctioned Girls State tournaments.  She had fantastic Coaches that helped her see the value in conditioning and hard work and instilled a love for the sport throughout her wrestling career.
 
In high school she qualified for the boys State Tournament and made it to the finals of the Girls State Championships all 4 years, winning it twice. In College she wrestled at Missouri Valley College, placed multiple times at Universities, US Open and World Team Trial as well as earned a spot on the USAW National Team.  In 2014 she started coaching on her daughters’ club wrestling team.
 
Sandra was named Head Coach of the Chatfield Senior High girls team for the 2 year pilot season’s (2019 & 2020) and the 1st CHSAA Sanctioned season (2021).  During these past 4 years, Chatfield took 1st in both Pilot season State Championships as well as the 1st place in the CHSAA Inaugural 2021 Season.  In 2022 they won their second Girls High School State Championship.  Sandra was named the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Coach of the year 2021 and Colorado Coaches Association Coach of the year in 2022.
 
Sandra has coached several very successful female wrestlers to date, and she is dedicated and proud to offer these girls the opportunity to find and pursue a passion that will guide them for the rest of their lives.
